Hey I am new to the board and I had a question for you guys. I currently have a 2000 Blaster that is in great shape but is too small for me now. I want to purchase a new quad but I am unsure of what to get. I am looking at both the Raptor and the 450 and I dont know which one I like better. I can also get a deal on at 94' banshee from my cuz that has some work done to it. what are your opinions?

What are you going to do with it...trail ride only??? If thats the case the Banshee will be an animal on the trail but the Raptor is all around great trail ATV......the YZF would be more of a racer sleek and longer....and the 4 stroker to me is the better way to go....did I even help....lol

the yfz

if you are looking for a sport atv go out and get the yfz there is nothing like it. it is more of a track atv but it is grat on the trals. they eat stock banshees like there nothing! and they have a great ride

I am mostly going to be trail riding. I want something that is fun to ride and has speed and power. I like the reverse feature on the Raptor just for the convienance, and I have wanted one since they have come out. Then when i got my license I turned away from riding. Now my girl wants to start riding and she can have my blaster. when i was lookin the yfz caught my eye. i am going to go to a dealer and see which one i like better. but more likely than not i will be getting my cousins banshee becasue i will save alot of money. i dunno ill find out soon enough

Guys I am going to be removing the ATV Section. I have Started a New Forum that I will add to the Menu at Totallyamaha.com this week. www.grizzlyinfo.com (fixed spelling..lol) , this is a Yamaha ATV forum...pretty kewl but we need to get some users registered. Tell all your friends ;)! ... I still have some minor work to do to it but feel free to start posting.

Tom,

Too bad you couldn't have moved some of the threads over to the new forum to give it a bit of a head start.

Steve,

If you're just going to be "fun riding" you might want to find a way to get a Raptor. While the 'Shee and YFZ are excellent machines, they're going to be a bit more finicky on the trails.

The torque of the Raptor is what makes it a friendly machine. It forgives you and just chugs along if you forget or don't feel like downshifting around a turn.

My two cents Canadian on the subject. :D

I am just going to get the banshee. I will save me a lot of money. since i am a college student i will going the les expensive route. although i really want the 450. it will just have to come later on.
