Anybody know where I can get some foam that is actually soft? I was going to add to the current seat but am thinking of getting some good foam and make the whole seat one type of foam, instead of plopping 2" on top of the current board. Anybody have a clue what type of foamis required and where to get it?
I believe that BTV has redone seat foam. Might PM him.
150$ i supply the srx seat foam. i remove your cover, carve your outer seat shape off. glue it over an srx seat foam i have carved to make fit your pan. then reinstall cover.
seat will look about 1inch thicker but will sit about the same ride height when done.
i did mine four years ago and three others, no problems with any.
the reason for using your outer is that the seat is wider at the top and flatter then the srx seat. i use the outer layer for shape only.

I just took my 2002 viper seat into an upolstry shop and told them to cut out some of that soft foam and put as much firmfoam as they could.
it worked out great! Much cheaper the it cost me when I had the shocks revalved and similar improvement on total shock felt by back on 4 foot bumps.

i dont make the seat any taller. this would involve an apholstry shop, if you want ride and height you will need to by a boss high rise.

I put on a 2004 pleated blue seat. I like it much better. Sold my old one.
