Just wondering what should the limiter straps be set at? (1" in past the nut)

What does loose limiter straps do?

and

What does Tight Limiter straps do?

That should give me a good indication..

1" is where I have mine. less then that is more transfer (ie wheelies) more then 1" is less transfer more ski pressure.

I got mine set to about a thread pitch and a half (enough for self locking nuts to work). My sled pulls the ski's some, but not a lot. The limiter straps do exactly what they say, limit travel... tighter = less travel = less transfer....
