I just remembered that the local dealer here said that my primary clutch had been worn at the most inner part of the sheave. It was kind of "flat groove" This is probably because this sled had heelclickers for over 2000 miles before. My question is, could this wear make my sled real slow in accelerating?

No! When belt come to that possision on secondary you are aproaching top speed.

On the primary I think he is talking about on the most inner part. This would not be where he is approaching top speed, he would be at engagement. The faster you go, the more your belt rises in the primary and goes down in the secondary. As for it hurting your acceleration, I would not think that it would do anything noticable however, I do not know for sure.

same happened to my father on his 96 500xt. really affected it for him, and it felt like a new sled when he had it replaced, but his was pretty bad
