Wiseco Pistons big bore
Depends on what you intend to do with this motor. For drags the Wiseco piston with thin rings is the fastest but wears out fast too. The Pat Hauck piston is made by Wiseco but the piston skirts are stronger and the rings are thicker and will last longer if trail riding. Standard Wiseco you can purchase direct from Wiseco about $95 each. Haucks piston you must purchase from them at roughly $140. I have worn out two sets of the standard pistons and both times when I tear down the lower rings were stuck. Both sets went about 2500 miles and now I'm on a set of Haucks pistons only 1200 miles as of now. Also the window on the Hauck piston is large almost twice the stock size and the skirts look stronger. This pic is the standard Wiseco. Good luck with your big bore. --mac--
