I need my mind put at ease.

O.K. guys, I had my powervalves out and cleaned them and put them back in the same way they were. Which seemed like the right way to me. The beveled side faces down toward the crankcase. After looking at a service manual, in one picture they show the valve facing the other way. Which is the correct way? I just want to make sure! 700
