I have a 2001 SRX and am wondering what the cylinder compression should be. Also does the engine temperature mater when testing. (cold vs warm) The sled is stock and has only 4000KM on it.

anything around 135-140 is normal however I really would go off of the compression gauge because some always read lower or higher then others. Just look for a consistancy with all three cylinders within 2-4 PSI. Also, when doing this, it is best to hold the throttle wide open.

I could have answered that for you. 135 hold throttle wide open and dont do it when it is cold.

correct me if i'm wrong, but its my understanding that with a 2 stroke its not necesary to hold the throttle open?
but yea, should be at 135. mine was at 120-120-115 and it didnt last too long lol
