How do you store your sled?
If its not in a heated garage, the ice will cling to the heat exchangers and keep the cold air and snow fromt he heat exchangers. This happens on all them, especially the ones you cant see, so just tap them with a rubber mallot or your fist.
It could be possible but highly unlikely that your thermostat is screwing up. Maybe you can get your dealer to change it out and see what happens.

Overheating is kind of wierd I bought an 02 viper new and the first time it overheated it had 2000 miles on it and was in canada at -20 with lots of snow, there was another viper in my group and we both overheated. We never had this problem at warmer temps then we were told about ice forming in front of the heat exchanger when very cold, we would stop and pile snow on the running boards and had no more trouble, after the trip we had the rear heat exchangers installed.

check your antifreeze its propably 100% antifreeze. If it is 100% antifreeze you should drain some of it off and fill up with water. 60% water and 40% antifreeze should be good and will help to cool down the engine alot!
I checked the antifreeze on my 04 warrior and it was 100% antifreeze but I didnt drain it since I dont have overheating issues.
