I love the look of the new Phazer fx! Is this going to be a snowcross machine that will keep up with the REV 440mxzx. I would love to race the phazer in snow cross. does any one know if it will be available in a snowcross X package from yamaha?

well seeing that the WSA is not going to have the 440 class next year it will not be going up against it.

There is no rule yet about the 600 cc stock class at this time. It may not happen till the year after :o| .

As of today - it is still 440 stock - 600 mod. for next year.

Then - will they continue to let a 1000 cc 4/ machine - run in 600 mod?

I see the FX chassis as having potential in sno-x. I think they are going to need a little more power than the Genesis 80 can give them to compete with the 600s (stock class is going to 600cc after this winter).
As of right now the closest thing to a "X" package is the Phazer FX with the remote res shocks.
Who knows, perhaps they will come out with an "Exciter". They could maybe put together 2 YF450F motors and get 140-160 hp out of it. That'd be something if they could keep the weight right around 450 pounds.

i just heard from a guy that es snowcross that yamie has a snowcross sled coming out over seas that has the phazer motor in it or a motor based on it but with more of the nytro shaped chassie. dont know how weel his sorceces are if figured they wouldrun it in teh FX chassie but who knows.

There will be no sno-x for the Phazer. It doesn't meet the regs for sno-x. Just talked to a Yamaha rep at the local dealer demo show that they will not be able to sno-x the phazer because of something to do with the gearing, I forget exactly what he said, but he did say they will be sno-xing a Nytro.

WSA will only allow Yamaha to run a 4-stroke sled if the clutch is driven directly off the crank. The motor can not have a gear reduction system like the Apex, RX-1, or now the Phazer uses. The only motor that is snoX eligible is the Vector motor.

Boy, I'd really like to hear the reasoning behind that.
