I just broke the front pivit arm on my 02 SRX. Is this a common failure? When I was inspecting the suspension I noticed it has taken the teeth off of inside portion of the track where the drive sprokets turn the track. Knowing this I might as well replace the track when I fix the pivot arm. What is the best track these days as well as a good place to purchase for a 02 SRX. Mainly aggressive trail riding and Id like to stud it with the 96 studs I just put into my stock track a month ago?

call Bruce @ CB Performance in Gurnee Il. 847 622-5916 my track exploded on my 98 SRX , Bruce is setting my sled up w/ 1" 6 pitch compolast track w/ pre drilled holes down the middle for picks, nice track. Should hook up better than the stock yamaha track. I wouldnt mess around w/ a track that is wearing when they blow appart they cause alot of dammage to your tunnel.

If your talking about the w-arm,yes, that is common, you should beef it up also. If you do a search on w-arms you should even find some pics of reinforced ones. I put a 1.25 sixpitch on mine and it great. No studs though. You may be out of luck using your old studs if you go with a higher lug track. If your going to stud I would do just as SRXGTO67 said.

Looks like a nice piece....and yes thats it. It broke on the left side in half at the weld in the shortest side. Looks like Ill be calling MAXPerf. The owner is very nice and helpful as I have purchased from them many times before. Would you all go with a 6 pitch 1.25 or a 1.0 RipSaw. What is the max length of picks I can use in the 1.25 or 1.0 track without cutting or moddifying the track or sled? Thank you for your help!!!

Hey SRXS4, I too would recommend to you the 9830 sixpitch 1" track. If you are interested I can sell it to you and I also noticed that you are in Rhinelander Wisconsin. We have a lake house up there on lake thompson and if you are interested in buying a track from us, we can bring it up to you so you can avoid shipping charges aswell. Let me know what you want to do. BTW, we also have a W-arm laying around the shop. We will be coming up the Weekend of March 10,11,12 and we can bring it up then. Let me know what you want to do. Thanks

02 SRX Track

Call Bruce @ CB Performance; just had my sled there; they installed a new 6 pitch, studs down the center. Great hookup!! Had em do the cluthes too, roller and helix; the sled screams!!!

Great people to do business with, fast and friendly and they are yammie sledheads through and through.

Don't buy a 1.5 track, the lugs will fall off when you get it up to srx speeds... They did on mine anyway.

that isn't from speed...I had a 1.5 track on my srx as well. All about riding conditions and how much you feel you have to punch it from dead stop in anything but clean, deep based snow.

It rips again!

Well I went ahead and purchased from Bruce at CB Performance (thank you) the 6 pitch 1” Camploast track that is awesome, and was a swinging deal. Studded it with 144- 1.075 Woodies Gold diggers and Stud Boy backers. The sled hooks up and flies now! While I was at it put in new bearings, reinforced W arm from Maximum Performance, drive chain, new wheels, etc. The sled rips again thanks to Larry and his staff at North Country Yamaha. I was just clocked at 114 on the radar gun on some pretty crappy conditions. Thank you all for your recommendations.
