Does anyone have any info that could be helpful for a starting point? I am looking to set an 02 viper up for 660ft ice and 500ft grass. I have a maxx roller and am curious as to what helix to start with. Also jetting with a tempaflow installed.

I would run 2 to 1 gear ratio or so. Something like 40/20, 38/19...etc. As for Jetting, I have seen alot of Piped vipers burn down while using a tempa flow. You may consider disconnecting if you are going to jet down. As you know, Jetting can be tricky due to changing weather. Heat, humidity, altitude all come into play. I would run 130 mains on my SRX on the grass, compared to 147.5 in the winter. You could drop from say 147.5 to 137.5 and take a plug check. Take as many notes as possible with regards to temp, humidity...etc and keep for future records. Your jetting will need to be changed with temp changes of 10 degrees or so. If you want to run the Tempa Flow, call Jeff at CPR 414-698-6611 and he should have some input for you. Good Luck. OOhhh, Helix. almost forgot. Try a straight 47 for that distance. Throw helix at it until you cant pull it. What are you running for primary weights, springs...etc?...BBY
 
I have been stock so far, this will be the first year with pipes. I am looking for an idea so I can buy some different helixes to start testing ang go from there. With the tempaflow is it necessary to rejet? I thought the tempaflow took care of that?
 
There are 2 different jetting specs for CPR Viper pipes. I would recommend the richer settings if you are going to run a Tempa Flow. CPR has not tested any jetting packages for the Tempa Flow. Again, Call Jeff so you dont end up burning down. As for the clutching, I would recommend a Supertune Kit from CPR which includes Heavy Hitters, a tuneable primary weight. Stock clutching will not work with the Pipes. Youll need adjustable weights. Helixs to consider would be 54/46, 54/44, 52/44,52/42, straight 47, straight 45.
