I can't remember but do the wires just unscrew from the coils ?
When you put them back on do you use any sealant?
Thanks

On my SX700 they didn't screw into the coils. There was a copper wire "prong" that slid into the wire. The plug cap end screwed into the wire.
I used a good 2 part epoxy to affix and seal the wire to the coil.

is the prong removable?
Don't think so. The prong sticks out of the coil. The spark plug wire slides into the coil and the prong slides into the center of the plug wire.
Is it just me or is it getting warm in here.

is there anything to be had from a higher quality plug wire? wonder if you would get more snap with better throttle response. I know on some cars it works, some it is useless.... same apply for sleds?

I'm not sure if you are Familiar with Chuck Walters or not....but he's been racing for over 25 years.....he makes a high performance coil/MSD wire set up that works really well.......just had the opportunity to see it used on a 1000 pro stock that belonged to Tim Kauska........they look sweet.....and can be had for only $25 each....contact Tim Kauska on www.sled-hedz.com for more info.....tell him Wreckless sent ya.

A Yami tech told me to check the resistance in the wire, now Im not sure if he means the boot only or both. If its both than how the hell do you check the resistance if you can't get the wire off the coil???Thanks

check the coil resistance with the wire still attached with out the plug cap. Check the spark plug cap by itself.
I have the numbers some place but not with me now. I know the plug caps should be 5K. I forget the coil numbers.............
I have three coils for a 97 700SX motor. I bought them thinking it may have been my problem but it was not so I just put my originals back on. the ones I have for sale worked fine.

No - I do not think so.
Mounting location and wire length are different.

They are not stock coils. They have a straight post. The wire has a 90 degree end and boot that push on like a sparkplug.
