Hey guys,
Just putting a feeler out there to see if anybody would be interested in ‘any color, multi-grip rivets’. I’ve sourced 3/16” dia by 3/8” grip range steel head and nail with zinc plating here in Canada and can get them powder coated almost any basic color you want. There are also non-basic (like candy red chrome) colors but lets keep it simple first. I figure $25.00 Canadian for 100, plus shipping(about $10 inside Canada). I could work on a shipping deal for those of you south of the border as well if there is any interest.

These are similar to, if not the same as, the rivets Yamaha uses in the tunnel. They have 933Lb Tensile and 810Lb Shear. I do not have any at the moment, beyond my own needs, this is more of feeler to see if there is any demand.

One pick is bare metal, other is semi-gloss black powdercoat

After another member asked about these, I've come up with a price structure.
Coating: Quantity/Cost
Basic color powder coat: 50/$15, 100/$25, 250/$50
Bare/Un-coated: 50/$12, 100/$19, 250/$35
Prices are Canadian and are PLUS shipping. I do have a US address available to send from. (=lower shipping costs for those of you south of the border)

Product available:
0.4" (small head) Steel on Steel zinc plated Multi-grip in 1/4" and 3/8" grip ranges.
0.625 (large head) Aluminum head, steel nail(zinc) multi-grip in 1/4" and 1/2" grip Ranges.

I don't have any of these on hand so a 1 to 2 week lead time is needed until enough of you guys order these. ;)! Of course, maybe nobody will order any and all my flailing at the keyboard is useless.

Maybe I should move this to the classifieds???

you want to tell whoever is doing your powder coating not to coat the mandrel, the paint will keep piling up in the teeth of the rivot gun

I hadn't thought about that. I must have pulled 60 of them(coated) with my air riveter this spring and didn't notice any slipage. I wonder how many before I have to clean it out. Anyway, I'll have to come up with a little cap to keep most of the powder off, Thanks. ;)!
