I have a 1998 MM600 with Smart Carbs. This sleds has worked great when we have gone to the mountains until last year. About 3 days into our trip the sled would only run about 45mph, below that it would work great. I tried to get it into the dealer at West but they were booked for a couple of days. The right side plug was real wet and the diagnostic light was flashing. So I started to try and isolate the problem myself by moving the sensors one at a time from the right side to the left side and then test drive, I started with the top ones. When switched the 2 bottom sensors the problem moved to the left side. Bingo! Bought a new sensor and the sled worked great the rest of the week. This year just about the same thing except no flashing light. We were able to get it into the dealer so he could check out system with their teat equipment but no codes were found. I didn’t want to spend another $100 bucks on a sensor so I just jetted it for the mountains and watched the light flash. The dealer said that if the sensor we replaced last went bad it would have set a code. By the way they did check and clean the carbs and found nothing. Does anyone have any insight to what is going on?
