How can I put a 1976 SRX suspension in my 1980 SRX??

Hey guys, people told me to put a 76 rear suspension in my 1980 SRX440 cause it's much lighter, dam it is, stock suspension weighed in at 60 pounds, the 76 one only weighs 25, big difference, only problem is how can I mount it?? the body styles changed from 76 to 80 and the rear mount bracket (possibly front also) is two single ones on my 80 and the 76 needs two side by side, anyone ever do this swap? the 76 SRX skid was made for oval track racing and is way to light for trail use .

Can you get the mounting locations or dimensions from the center of the track drive to each of the holes that mount the older skid and transfer them to the new tunnel with the same dimensions of the drive centerline???

im just gonna use it for drag racing, that's why I want it light, not trail riding for this baby any more, im making an ultra light race sled, 80 HP up to 110 HP and 405 pounds stock gonna get down around 330.....
