What is the DET light?

its not on the model SRX that i have but i hear a bunch of talk and questions going around about them... just curious on what the whole DET thing is.

You mean Dcs light?......Dentionation control system..Its a knock senser.

^Yup! Basically, the system senses detonation and retards the timing untill the detonation stops. If you should get a batch of bad fuel or if you go waaaay lean on jetting for some reason, it will protect the engine and allow you to at the very least make it home.
