Light weight brake rotors?

rotor

Yes - it is lighter , but yes it is cheaper. Yamaha is smart enough to make a lighter rotor, but the maxxperf rotor is like a tin can. If you have a race sled for straight line you are ok, but if you are banging corner after corner save weight some other way.

I found changing from the oem track to a camo predator you can usually save 8-11 pounds of rotating mass. Better track too!

good luck

I don't do to much corner to corner stuff. A fair amount of drag racing and a lot of mountain riding. I like the idea of less rotating weight for the drags, but I'm not sure how they would hold up during those steep down hills in the mountains.

I have a Camo 9800 (136" 1.5") on it now. It's a good light weight track for a 136". I have shaved some weight off the Viper already, but have thinking about taking some more off as funds allow. Problem is, its about a $100 a pound to do so!

Do you want to know the easiest and cheapest way to drop weight off the sled?

It is to take it off the rider that rides the sled!!(LOL) :EXER: :EXER: :EXER:

I hear ya, and free too. I dont think I have much to loose though, (160-165 lbs), my wife says I'm already to skinny. She's usaully making some smart a$$ comment about being hungry for chicken, when she's looking at my legs!
