I think I read this in an earlier post but can not seem to locate it. I think I remeber someone posting that the easiest way to check for slider wear is to take a 10mm wrench and if you can't get it over the slider then it is ok but if it can fit over the slider it is time to change them. Is this true?? Diceman

Does you sliders not have a wear line? If they do have one, then go by this, but if you already have worn past this line, then get new ones. Stock OEM ones have them
I have crappy Kimpex aftermarket ones and they suck, no wear line and had to cut to length...

Now, in my defense, I've had occasions where the slider has melted or curled over enough that I (because of my advanced age and lack of bi-focals) can't tell what is the line is or if its worn past, or if somebody scribed a new line for me, or the mold was broken that day and the line is in the wrong spot, or the slides are some cheap knock offs, or (quick, think of some more lame excuses)......
