Is a 99 vmax shock the same length as 98 MM

As the thread title says, i am looking at a shock from a 99-00 vmax 600 to go onto my friends 98 MM700. I am wondering if the length is the same. Part #'s are a bit different.

vmax: 8CR-2376A-10-00
MM: 8CS-2376A-00-00
