On a recent trip I had the inner secondary sheave plate vibrate loose and nearly end my trip 5 miles in. It did some minor damage to the belt, sheave, etc but nothing that effected the sled. Just wondering what they do and can you just remove them to prevent this from happening again. Also where to find blue paint to touch up a 98 SRX trailing arm. thanx
If you have the primary apart you can use Loctite on the threads to make sure it wont happen again.Actually the service manual calls for this.Your best bet for paint is Color Rite,they have spray cans you can buy.If not I believe there is a couple of paint codes in the Tech section for some of the Yamaha colors.If you cant find them pm me I have a few different codes for various paint brands saved from here over the years.
