I was just wondering, is it hard to start the front bolts when trying to get the suspension back in. I can barely get my hand between the tunnel and the head of the bolt. It looks like it is going to be a tough job to line up the suspension and screw the bolts back in. How do most people over come this?

front bolts on pa

there are rubber plugs in sides of bellypan that you remove , and then use an extension on 14mm socket.

yup, pull the plug, and use longarsed extension

also helps to stick a punch in the other side before you start, so lift her up, stick a center punch thru it to hold the other side and keep the skid from going cock-eyed on you.

then long socket and 14mm socket, sometimes helps to thread it without the ratchet, just hold the extension and reach in under the hood (if you have long lanky arms like me and can support from the bottom and reach around the top at the same time, after it's in a couple threads, throw the ratchet on it (outside the sled) and tighten it up, then repeat with the other side.

I like to tie the a$$ end of the sled to the roof of my garage put the suspension in the track then lower it down till the front holes line up. (with some fighting). Then your free to mess with the bolts and not have to fight the suspension at the same time. I also use the punch trick.

Good luck. :D

make sure to install the bolts in the proper sequence or you'll be fighting it something fierce. before you start, loosen the bottom bolts on the transfer rods till they are almost out this lets you articulate the rear for ease of install. (again if you dont do this you will be fighting it) front bolts first, rear bolts next, and the centers will almost (not quite) line themselves up. not saying you cant do it another way but this is by far the easiest ive seen it done. ski
