Rapid Recoil starter rope wear!

Will Yamaha replace the recoil starter rope under warranty? Mine is almost worn right through from rubbing on the chaincase. I know they just came out with a plastic piece that sits over the rope protecting it from rapid wear from the chaincase. Will the dealer fix it for free, since the unit still has a year and a half of warranty left.

Mine was fraying also while still under warrenty and they fixed it - no questions asked.

I went through the same thing, rapid were, I put in the plastic insert and it helped.

The ropes are an absolute sinch to change so I put in some ultra strong rope material the Artic Cat guys used and no problems.

We got it from a guy on the Snow West site.
