I have a 97 600 vmax xtc and a 00 700 sxr
my 00 has viper skis on the front so it drops the front about 1'' down.

right now my 97 sits about 2 1/2 inches higher than my 00

what can I do to make my 00 front hight 2 1/2 inches higher with the viper skis still on?

do they make extention brakets for the shock?

thanks joe

You can get adjustable brackets from hauck or somewhere else may have them as well, or you could try tightening the preload on your front springs to get the desired ride height. Try that first.

front height

You could reverse the the top shock mounts! I read on theis site that you swap sides of the upper shock mounts and when you swap them you need to turn them upside down and do a little grinding to get them to fit. Mine is the same way but I am not sure if I should worry about the inch because the sxr has plenty of height now.

that is for an srx, not an sxr.

SX-R's are designed with more "sit in" in the front suspension then the Vmax sleds. both have the same travel but the difference is in the shock/spring combo.

This guy posted his srx on SF seeing as the chassis are similar u could look into the same upgrades just google Sno-tek. pretty sick but a little spendy.

I did this on my 01 sxr and there really are two ways to fix it, the first is to change your sxr to viper trailing arms and spindles, the viper ski saddles are smaller than the sxr and the viper trailing arm tubes are longer, so if you switch to viper trailing arms it fixes the problem.

I decided to make custom mounts, since i have access to a mill, i milled the viper saddles and mounted the old sxr ones on top of the viper ones, it gave me back the height for free. I may sell my mounts in the spring since i am going to switch to powder pro skis for next year.
