I was wonderin i have a 98 Vmax 600 sx and it is a twin what would be the best for the performance part and the sound cuz i want that sweet sound that makes it sound like a beast. my budget is around $450. Thx for your help.

Have you checked the head gasket. You can change to the thinner style. Very noticeable difference and it only cost app $25. Easiest and best thing to do on a twin.
600 twin
Thin the head gasket. Maxxperf sells 2 different ones. Buy the thinnest and run good fuel. Put a decent track under it if your still running the stocker. I like to gear them down a touch and get the clutching bang on. You can probably jet it down a bit too. On the twin you can't drill the can, that's just on the tripples(different can). A silencer cuts some weight, but doesn't really add any power, just makes noise.
