Was talking with Pat Hauck this weekend asking how to make an 01 SRX just a little faster and he said he would give us a Helix. Just wondered if anyone knows the best helix for a totally stock 01 SRX and if you need a spring to go with it also. He also said to clutch it. Another guy told us to clutch it with Heavy Hitters. What do you SRX guys think? Just asking the question for my friend.
Thanks!

mr vipers set-up

w-w-w primary spring
8dn-20s with 4.5 in both holes
green secondary spring at 60-80 degrees
51/43 helix

this set-up will wake her up.
you can also do a search on here and find a gazillion other set-ups.

i like heavy hitter's..have had good luck with them & there so much easier to fine tune than the 8dn's but there are a lot of proven setup's with the 8dn-20's though..also get a good track.

This setup is cheap, and has been proven on this site over and over again. It's a great runner.

Who would we buy this from and how much would it cost?
Also, does this setup give you more on the top end?
Thank you!

Most of the vendors that sponsor this site could get the parts for you. Rich motor sports or the speed shop would be good choices. Your sled already has 8DN20 weights in it. You would only need to load both of the holes in the weights with 4.5 gram rivets. The 01 SRX weights already have a 4.5 gram rivet in one hole and a smaller rivet in the second hole. You would only have to replace the smaller rivet with a 4.5 gram. Personaly, I would keep your stock red secondary spring and wrap it to 80 degrees. I think it works as well as the green spring. So you would need the following parts:

www primary spring
three, 4.5 gram rivets
51/43 helix

I'm guessing around $140 in parts.
Yes, this setup has great topend. It's just an overall better setup than stock.
