Vermont, where we don't get enough snow...
i was riding with a friend to the local yamaha dealer the toehr day, the first time my dad ever let me go on the trails without an adult, and i wrecked his sled!!! :o| we were crossing a road when i took the corner a little tight and the left ski we into a colvert and mad me do a frontflip right off the front of the sled, we pulled the sled out off the snow only to find the trailing arm was bent up a foot and a half to the bottom of the hood! The front of his c&a pro ski was verticaly up, his steering rod was bent, and both of the bars coming down in the front were bent pretty good. it also crimpled his tunnel right where the trailing arm connects. scrunched it up about an inch. so back to the yamaha dealer we go we over-nighted the parts, and in the end i ended up writing a check for $311.75. it was an ouchy... #$%&* but the nice thing is that we were able to bend the ski back, hopfully he doesn't hit somthing and have it go right back to being bent... because theres another couple hundred right there. i also wanted to thank the site for having the directions to aline the skis... that was a big help :rocks:

if you get those skis real warm (like in a hot bath tub) they will return to their original shape. Memory plastic ;)!

Sounds like it was an honest mistake and you stood up and took care of it like a man.

Sucks that it happened, but good work on making it right!

What is a culvert? I hear so many people hitting culverts and wrecking there sleds!?! Can someone explain please lol. Is it the drainage pipes that go under ditches?

A Culvert, or also known as The Great Northern Canadian Culvert, is a breed of animal that looks like a Moose. But has shaggy hair stubby Legs. They are very protective of their territory, and react aggressively to the sound of a snowmobile. Most of them hibernate all summer in large diameter steel pipes that allow water to flow underneath roadways in the summer months. Then when winter comes they awake and attack snowmobiles causing severe damage! :yam: .

Oh yes, the Culvert!

Several years ago a fairly young one of these appeared from nowhere and attacked my 340 Enticer, splitting the slide rails in two! They are quite vicious! 700
