I have noticed on my 2001 SRX 700 that the inside sheave of the secondary clutch has a very minor warp / wobble at the edge. The warp is less than 1 mm and is barely noticeable. Should I be concerned about this and is there a fix for this or do I need a new inside sheave.

Does anyone thing this wobble might be caused by the 3 adjustment bolts at the back of the secondary?

Yah, they have never been removed or adjusted. It looks like all three are tight and have one shim. I am wondering if one of the bolts is damaged or worn.

its possible. Pull them out once and put the secondary back on and see if it wobbles. May also be a slightly bent sheave. I had one once that was bent, was blowing belts like crazy, couldn't find the problem. Ended up finding that one of the sheaves was bent, causing very high belt temps and blowing them like crazy.

Make sure you check those little plastic ramps that the helix rides on. I think if one of those was worn more than the others it could cause the condition you described. They are only $2.00 each. Hope thats the problem!!!!!
