I'm thinking of painting my stock clear windy black and have noticed that others on the forum have already done so. So, how did you prep the plastic and what kind of paint did you use?
Thanks,

You also want to make sure that you do several very thin coats because if not the pain will gob up or run....best results when you spray farther away too...

I have done this several times on my 05 rage and 05 mtn viper mostly because I'm cheap! Both of these were higher than I liked with the windshield still on the sleds I removed the black trim and used tape on the outside as a line, when I got the tape where I wanted I removed the windshield and cut them with my dremel tool. cleaned them with windex and then painted the inside. I have painted black windshields before but this time I did the viper in blue and the rage in red both turned out very nice. I then cut the black trim and super glued it back on!

go to your local RC model store and get a can of black spray paint formulated to paint the inside of plastic model cars. This paint works real well and resist chipping and scratching. Better than any other spray paint I have used (and thats a lot)

Paint The Inside.

Atleast Then If U Scratch The Outside U Wont Scratch The Paint It Will Always Look Good That Way.

;)! ;)! ...............Also KRYLON Paint Sticks Very well , I sprayed Black on the inside and Red on the outside...........Stood up for TWO SEASONS, the New Owner says it still looks like new today ;)!

The only way to do is to use plastic paint (plastic fusion, krylon plastic, etc.) and spray the inside with multiple thin coats.
