2001 yamaha mountain max 600 mods?

i was just wounderin do anyone know what i could do to make my yamaha 2001 mountain max 600 triple gain more power/hp? or what other stuff would make it cool?.....thanks....post pics of your sled similar to mine if you wants to.

Pretty much the same sled as the 700MM. All the mods for the 7 work on the 6 .....................................SRXtreme

the best bang for your buck would definitely be pipes. Check e-bay there is quite often deals on used pipes.

Well, besides pipes... you will be hard pressed to get any significant horsepower out of it... head gasket mod, reed spacers, clutching,... that's all I can think of that's cheaper than pipes that will give you any gain. After pipes... then we're talking aftermarket reeds, bored carbs, port job... then you'll want to look at rolling resistance/weight, and the list goes on.

Personally if you don't want to spend a lot of money on it I would just clutch it... otherwise once you go in.... you only go in deeper looking for more stuff to do to it.

My plan was the same as what I think yours is. Get some cheap hp and don't spend any more on it. $8000 later...I still keep telling myself that. lol
