Brother's Viper lost the center cylinder rod bearing earlier this week at 6500 miles. I tore it apart yesterday, took out the piston, cylinder plating, the crank and the bottom case halve.
I was really surprised as this motor has always been such a strong runner. I always thought it ran light on oil but it was at the stock adjustment so I left it alone, maybe I should turn it up a little next time?
Are SRX and Viper crankcases interchangable? I know the crank is different.
