My brother has a 97' V-max xtc 600. It idles fine but as soon as you give it any gas under load, it seems to be missing and making very choppy power throughout the powerband. It seems like once in awhile the other cylinder will detonate causing a backfire. The baffles fell out of his exhaust the other night and he ran it after and it worked fine. Then this morning when he started it this missing started right away. I don't know if this caused it but we were running water the night before and the motor may have gotten wet from spray. Any thoughts?
