Any recommendations on what to use to replace the rear shocks as well as the TSS pogos upfront for a '91 and '93 Phazer II?

I am looking at a project sled rebuild and am wondering what I could replace the stock ones with?

Any advice would br greatly appreciated.

The front shocks you're probably going to have to go with the OEM units as they're unique to those sleds and resemble more of something that should be on a screen door than a snowmobile. They're kind of expensive though, around $80 a piece if I remember right.

The rears you can go with replacements from somewhere like Dennis Kirk for fairly cheap. Put in all new rear springs while you're at it too. I put all new shocks and springs on an '87 a few years back and it rode really well.

I couldn't find any other pogo shocks other then Kimpex and OEM...I bought kimpex they aren't great!! I would go with a RYDE FX shocks for the back.. I have on the back of my Phazer for 3 years and they are holding up great..Lots of abuse with no problems...I think I paid $125 Canadian for the shock....I would replacce the springs if they are old they will make a difference too.....

Ya I just used OEM replacements they seem ok I don't have anything to compare them too, but they do the job ......

I have an old aaen catalog which has ohlins listed for the phazer, in 94 when the catalog was current the tss shocks were $525 a pair, I remember seeing a new set of these on ebay about a year ago for $400, good luck finding another set!!!

I have been looking for the Ryde FX shocks; it looks like the part #/model # is 8205 or 8200. Can anyone confirm; this is for a '96 and '91 Phazer II.

Thanks.

I believe it is the 8200..If you need to call Royal Distributing ( it in Canada ) but they will tell you which one you need 1-800-265-2970....That is where I bought mine from....
