this 98 srx700 i picked up has some clutch work done to it and i want to know if its setup right or if its the best combination....it has a roller rooster on the secondary but i might have to replace it cause its cracked but will run a roller again...heres the specs i found when i took it apart...
secondary:
black spring with pink dot
helix 35/31
#2 on the shieve
#6 on the roller cap(i'm guessing that the twist not sure how u calculate that)
primary
black spring with white dot
8bu-00 with a single weight in the tip
now i have a line on another roller rooster
with a 47/31
this sled does alotta lake and some trails and i love racing
it also has a cold air kit,vforce3 reeds,DG can
i know from reading some post that theres some awsome clutch guys on here so if u can give me some advice i'd really appreciate it...i'm not new to clutching i just hate trial and error when some one has a awsome setup....

can some one give me an idea with helix angles... its it the higher first number better for take off and the lower the second the better top end???
yse thats correct but keep in mind to much helix in the start and you wont be able to get traction...

The 47/41 is gonna be very steep & you won,t be able to use the 8bu weights with them. Your gonna have to use diffrent primary weights with a different secondary spring to get that to work. It is definately not a bolt in & go combo! I have used the roller rooster for 5 years.

I live in Brandon but company wants me to relocate to Barrie. Cost of living out there is huge!!!! We live in Disneyland out here as far as living costs compared to yours.

One good thing though us Ontario people might get the chance to meet ya, oh ya and you'd be only 2.5 hours from NBSSRs 2000 foot track!

What do you mean no sledding from your back door in Barrie? Your moments form Orillia and from there endless. Turk If you move get in touch with me and I'll show you around. The least I could do for the help with my SRX and RX1;.

I doubt if I will move. Cost of living in Manitoba is stupid cheap. I could not live nearly as well as I do here. To replace my house;cottage etc......could not do it out there. I like the area but cost of living & the traffic is a turn off.
