Has any one experienecd excesive power valve noise before on there viper, I recentlly bought a blown up viper , when I got it back together I noticed the power valves where noisier than my previous viper and my buddys vipers, I've cleaned and adjusted alot of powervalves before and never had a problem before.

Comming from the valve housing on the cylinder, I just rebuilt the motor and cleaned the interior of the cylinders and where the valve slides in and out of, plus the valve it self. I think it maybe because of the lack of lube there right now, it seems to be getting quiter the more I run it

could someone explain what this noise sounds like. i have a few odd noises one kinds sounds like rubbing i tought my primary was rubbing on the guard but that would be to easy.

I don't think you really hear the powervalves do you? All they do is sit there at idle and pull out as the r's increase.

Probly hearing piston slap........

I used the old screw driver trick and pin pointed the noise at the power valve housing, I thought it could be piston slap at first , but I replaced one cylinder and piston and all three sound the same.
