I have a tripple piped Viper and don't have the jetting margin of error or robustness of a stock sled. MPI has Remote Fuel Screw Adjusters for $150, are they worth it?
Can this replace adjusting clip position or main jets if the temps drop and prevent you from pulling carbs out to rejet/clip on a sled trip?
When I go on a sled trip, I'll watch the forcast and jet for that, but once I'm on a trip, I don't want to be wrenching on the trail or in the hotel pkg lot.
Thanks, Sledboy

My take on the Fuel Screws is it will help with temp changes slightly but nothing a substitute for Neelde and jetting changes other then a tempa flow or a VariFlow unit....

Which do u recommend? Vari flow or Tempa flow?
I have a 2002 tripple piped Viper and don't have the jetting margin of error or robustness of a stock sled. Last year after a burndown in Ontario, I retro-fitted a 04 viper s DCS.
O like riding in Ontario and am subject to low octane /poor quality gas.

I have driven a piped viper on the edge with a Vari Flow and it really worked great, with the adjustability from the seat. The Tempa flow is really great as well but you have to have the jetting really close and the unit should not be mounted under the hood, and it is more for temp change where the variflow is both temp and elevation.

Tom,
which one makes it run more rich and which leans it out so u go fatter on the jets?
I asked Pat Hauck about these and he said not to because i would increasee the chance of burndown. I do not agree w/ his logic, but did not install one either.
THANKS!

I have the tempa flow on mine......it you can run fatter jets and as temp warms up it will compensate to that set point....I am really not the best guy to speek to I would contact Hotlzman http://www.totallyamaha.com/snowmobiles/aaTECH/tempaflow/tempaflow.htm his email is at the bottom. Here is his website too http://www.holtzmaneng.com/

I have them on my piped Viper. They are from Northern Lites. They are an adjustment for idle mixture curcuits only, they replace the mixture screws that are on the bottom of the carbs, the ones that are a real pain in the a$$ to get to. Since they affect the idle curcuits, you would still have to rejet and adjust the needles when conditions change.
I ride the mountains and drag race, so I use them when altitudes change or if I'm trying to eliminate a low speed bog. It's a lot easier than pulling the carbs!
