I'm having trouble buying the PTO & center power valve cables for my 98 SRX. The # on the old cabel & the parts site are the same. But the new cables are twice the length of the old ones.
Has anyone had this problem? Is there an service update? Am I supposed to relocate the servo motor or something to accomodate the longer cables? Any info would help. Thanks Jay Are

did you buy the cables yet? sevo motor wiring harness is close to the air box where the 98 servo motor is located. not sure if the wiring harness between the 98 srx's and the 99-02 is the same but i relocated the servo to where they are mounted on 99-02 SRX's on my mtn srx with the 02 motor and wiring harness along with the 02 powervalve complete system. the longer cables are a much better design and easier to get to your carbs.
The problem with relocating the servo would be extending the wires. It would be an easy fix. I'd just like to get the shorter, stock, original cables.
It's not that big of a deal to take two minutes when I pull the carbs to remove the servo.

I just put three powervalves,cable and servomotor off of a 98 SRX on my 02 SRX.I believe the cables were longer on the 98 and 99 models
