hey guys i have 2 questions that i'm hoping someone can help me with. i'm curious to know if anyone has ever used one of the billet 911 response clutch covers on an srx700? and if they work well or not. if they give any performance gains or if it has any effect at all.
my second question is if anyone runs a heel clicker kit in their sxr 700 i have one in my srx and love it but just wondering if it works as well with the non pv sxr 700 motor.
any input would be great thanks in advance.

I have had one (911 cover) on my Viper for 3 years and there is no performance gains that I can see. It is more of a durability issue. The 911 cover is much stronger and has a much larger bearing surface than the stock cover. I would guess that it may the clutch operate more repeatably.

ok so really then i guess there's no point in picking up one of those covers if i've had no problems with my original one.

I have one, and I think it helps it shift smoother. If it has the adjustable belt deal it is worth it. Maxdlx

All of us have reved an engine with the belt off. At the engagement rpm the primary goes "clack" and the clutch closes al the way, all at once. When the rpm is reduced, the clutch opens with the same "clack" sound and it opens all the way. When I installed the 911 primary clutch cap and did the same test. the clutch became more sensitive to rpm. At the engagement point, the clutch would begin to close and increased rpm would cause it to close more and reduced rpm would cause it to open. Told me that it worked with way less friction and hang up. Combined with a roller rooster or the hi tech er secondary and you end up with a very smooth, near frictionless transmission. In other works, you reduce the losses or improve the mechanical efficiency of the transmission. And, IMO, if you reduce the amount of power needed to overcome the losses of the transmission, it means more hp to the track. Is it alot? Maybe not but some guys want as much as they can get.

thanks for the great info and responses guys maybe i will look into one of those caps after all. i find my heel clicker kit wears out the bushing on my stock cap very quickly so i hope the 911 cap wil help with that.

2 things, the cover fixes the twisting of the movable half of your clutch, if you look at your weights, generally there is a brown crooked line across the surface of the weight that the roller contacts, this is because the movable half of your clutch is cocked as its shifting, the ER cover fixes that, and if your clutch has lots of miles on it relace the movable sheave bushing also. Commonly you have to take a gram of weight out because your clutch upshifts faster than it used to.
