I have a 99 600 sx it is piped,ported,cluched,geared same as 700,reed spacers,thiner head gasket,stock carbs (31mms) I was wondering if anyone has tried puting 33mms on.

I can't tell you too much other than Aaen's install instructions for their triple pipes recommend 38mm carbs from 31 for an additional 6 hp... then you are ported so that might change things a little yet.
From 31's to 33's with porting I would say you would probably be up 4hp max... but that's about the wildest guess I've made yet. lol.
Just wondering... mine is an Aaen piped 99 600... i hit about 180 on the speedo on a good day...
If you don't mind me asking what are you hitting with yours, who's pipes, and porting? and how's gas mileage?

I Have seen 180 on a good day as well but consistant 170-175, Bender pipes and trail porting, gas mileage is o.k.

Maybe if you took the 33's and bored them to 35.5? Hauck claims 6hp as well... either way if you bore them, get a different carb alltogether, or just put on the 33mm's you will be getting a gain by helping the engine breathe better. My opinion is do it... I've been thinking about the same thing along with porting.
