there is no need to get that extreme other then fooling around but you do show a point that is forgotten by guys saying benders are better and so on.the size of gap that is shown when no wieght is on the sled is the distance that the sled will transfer before they bottom out and stopping the rocking back motion of the skid frame.most transfer rods give you no more than stock gap but you can close them up for more control from ski lift and the rocking action side to side and you can do it with a wrench or your hands.try using your old rods take them to a welder and raise the top washer that is welded on the rods to a longer gap with a small washer, somewere around 2 and 3/4 is going to make some transfer with the fra on soft and the spring backed off a little.if it is to mutch set it at med and tighten spring to make it harder.

bornwithblueblood - The outcome is quite funny.... the thing just sunk down like that, i got a few pics of it just standing up stuck and me pointing at it! pretty funny but scary when it happend. Reason why i bought a viper... 3 words will sum it up...

ARCTIC CAT SUCKS!! i should have bougth a viper at the start , but i was young then and my dad wouldn't let me Drive a *700* just because its a 700 LOL you know how it is with parents and young kids. yeah, grew up and smartend up at the same time. sold the cat, got a viper. aint it great?!
