Thinking of chaning my expert to a 136, from a 121. Wondered what I can expect to see in riding difference? I would guess the hole shot wheelies would be reduced and was hoping to have something that will handle better on the damn washboard trails. If changing to 136 and it doesn't sound like it will make a difference I may switch to a m-10 or a Bender. Wondered what you guys that have changed to a 136 from a 121 have noticed in performance of the expert-x?

I am doing this right now in my turbo RX-1. At 12 pounds boost it wants to come over on me. I know guys that have done the conversion & it really eliminates the problem. A 136 won,t transfer as much weight as a 121 so it stays flatter to the ground & accelerates better.

You won't be sorry

I have a 136 Expert on both of my vipers. All I have to say is that you wont regret it. Still all the transfer you would ever need, awesome traction, no noticeable push in the corners as you may have heard, and the short choppies are all but eliminated. I will never go back. Here are some photo's of my two sleds that are 136's. If you want I have a set of the AD Boivin extensions (stock size rear wheels) w/ about 500 miles on them for sale. $100 shipped to your door. Let me know if you want them.

Madmatt; where did you get those 8" wheels & did you have to change anything else to make em fit?

Turk

Hey Turk, I tried to sell you a set of those extensions when you were looking for them but you never responded. Those are offset extensions that I had made to fit the Expert X. A local machinest friend of mine made me 4 sets. The 8 spoke wheels are from Mountain Machines and the 5 spoke are from Performance Engineering & Machine which has since gone belly-up as you probably know. You like?

Me likey....I found some extensions in Canada for stupid cheap. I am gonna look for a rear wheel set up like that at days of hay.

Offset extensions

The only company I know of that made them is PEM. That's what I have on the plain blue Viper. The other sled has the ones I had made. If they can be found anywhere it would be the days of hay. I've got to make it out to that this year

Yes, it's for sale

The blue one is for sale. It's a pretty "wicked" trail sled. Selling due to buying a new house, blah blah blah. I see you are in Vermont. I'll deliver to your door!!
