Just put on another 360 miles this past couple of days and noticed when traveling at about 70 mph when I hit it it would not want to go past 80 and then other times I'd hit it and it would scream all the way up to 110mph. I never change my jetting but its seem that when ever I have had this problem it is only when it is above 32-35 degrees. Never had a problem when it was cold out. I just think its probably just the sleds being finicky and need to be jetted for the warmer days. STill learning though. To try to explain what it does it sort of goes blah,blAH,blah like a bogging sound, but from 0-70 mph it pulls like an son of a b-----. Then it would ripp to 110 again . WHat do you guys think?

get a TempaFlo... works great, you won't even know it's warm out....

It is a fuel flow regulator that works by changing the float bowl pressure based on user adjustment and temperature change. Really a great system, works well if you take the time to set it up correctly and understand how it works. Had one on the '01 SX 700R now for 6,000 miles and it has performed flawlessly.

Does it sound like my issue is due to the warm temps?

If you pump the throttle during the bog does it come out of it? Sounds like it could be a tad rich and bogging out on ya in that one spot.
A tempaflow works great, I'm a cautious user because reputable people on this site say they can blow it up fast as well as slowly over time however I beleive that is in set up. I tinkered with mine just a little bit to get it perfect. Rides the same in -20 and 40+ I just love the thing.

I tried pumping the throttle but with no prevail, but then on next hammer down she'd rip all the way to 110 no problem. It would only happen from time to time but tuesday it was pretty consistent through the day.

i had a tempaflow on my viper, because the weather around here is so wacky... first ride out i blew the motor, so that came off... now we usualy just change the jets to what ever temp. it is going to be the day we ride. i have bender pipes on it and on the warm days (anything above 25) it runs like a pig, but on the cold days like 0-15 F it runs like a real yamaha should!!!

thumbs up for tempaflow, but your problem sounds like worn/dirty clutches

Thats also what I'm thinkin, I've been researching what to put on for a set up and thanks to you boys on here I have all the components to kick butt. The only reason my new set up isn't on is because of the crazy season we had i had no snow around to test her out and I figured I'd wait till the last ride to pull the clutches. Just on a last note this past ride my clutch seems to be making a chug-chug-chug noise when I'm traveling at very slow speeds.aSRX600guy said:thumbs up for tempaflow, but your problem sounds like worn/dirty clutches

I would go through the clutch and replace the belt.
