Help! removing transfer rods

I've removed my rear shock and bracket assembly from my 96'VMAX XT proaction +, removed the idler wheels (w/ C clips), ...but for the life of me I can't seem to figure out how to get the bearings off (I don't want to damage them.

Any advice would be appreciated.

take a old 14 mm bolt and thread it in to one side of the rear cross shaft and take a hammer and pound the crap out of it...the bearings have a slight press fit and the shaft will go
