Do you guys know if they made a difference on your machines ? Im thinking of upgrading to saddleless skis on the viper , also it looks like they make a few different models of saddleless skis /normal trail /aggresive keel ect.. Any thoughts ?

I have the mtn saddless skis, and they are light years ahead of the stock skis. They float great corner great, just good all around skis. Maxdlx

I installed a set off a 2005 Rx-1 on my viper. I shimmed them as well when I installed them. The machine handles much better now and the saddle less skis are a tad lighter. The keel is also more agressive. They are lot cheaper then going to a aftermarket skis. It a nice improvment for little money.

I believe that your stockers are say 4 1/2 the mountains are 7inches,and the keel is aggressive for trails.

I put them on mine a couple years ago. They corner much better than the stock skis in the trails. They do dart on trails such as the UP where you get alot of lake effect (sugar type) snow. But everyone else seems to dart too in those conditions. My carbides are shot and I might try some Dooly carbides on them.

I ride 50/50 trails, and powder. So it was the best choice for me.They bite great on the trails and keep the front end up in the powder. And there only $150.00 compaired to the other aftermarket skis.

I have them on my Venture and I love em. I did the shim but had to remove due to excessive steering effort. But man do they float. The stockers were like knives in the snow. Even with the stock cone track I can conquer a lot deeper snow than before. They are not as bad as stock for darting. I'm gonna try doolys on em next year. I don't really do many trails anyway. Well not groomed ones. We like the open country and backwoods. I don't think you can buy a ski that will give you as much for the money.

The keel on the mountain skis is ever bit as agressive as the saddleless trail models. It is almost 90% as well which really cuts down on pushing in soft trail conditions. The only downside is when attempting to carve or sidehil in crusty snow conditions, that big ski acts like quite a lever when it catches. I have gotten used to it though, and you just always go positive never let the skis go neutral and it works very well. The only condition that I have found the C&As to be better is in melting snow conditions such as snowcross tracks, and warm spring days.

I put a set of saddless deep keel P.N. 8EF-23711-00 on my 03 with 4 in. dooleys . Love them handles great cut the dart a lot . Since I went to a 136 X1.25 I think I need to go 6 in. now .

HELL YEAH!, haha, no but seriously there great I got a pair on my Viper mtn, corner good and they like float on top of the snow when your in powder.

I tried looking up that part number and got nothing.

Where is everyone buying them?

before your first ride, take some ski pressure off. c&a's dont need nearly as much as stockers.

Thanks, Because i have alot of pressure on right now with the stock skis.
How about shimming these skis ?
I did it to the stock ones and found great improvement and less darting but a little harder on the arms.
