Using an Exciter 2 front axle on a 1988 Exciter?.

Hi guys!.

I wonder if I can fit a front axle from an Exciter 2 570 (unknown year) on a 1988 Exciter 570?.

Are they similar?.

Well this is really testing the memory but I'm gonna say no and yes, yes because it will bolt in and look like it fits correctly, then when you go and put in the gears, they won't fit, the splines are different on the EXII, when they went to silent chain the spline shape/count changed, and its just a little, so if you get a used shaft, slide your gear on before you start installing it.

Yep, if it is dimensionally the same and his triple chain gear goes on he's all good.
