Phazer year by Ser #??

I just bought another Phazer but am not sure of the year. Does anyone know how to determine the year by the serial number? It starts with 82K . I know it is not a 1982. It is black with a 6" wide orange and red stripe on the side.

DID YOU TRY DEALER WITH SER#? from the colours it sounds like its from late 80's

Thanks for your help. Did you have an 1987 you sound pretty sure. I just want to make sure in case I need parts, although all the Pre Phazer II are probably the same. They are great light sleds with plenty of power. Although I now ride a 99 600SX and love it.

Yes your sled is a 87 with the letters 82K it is a non electric start sled. Grape is correct again.
