Just wondering if any of you have tryed to lean out your viper a little bit on main jets? For a couple of year ago I saw a dynotest of a stock viper year 2002 and it was only breaked to 107hp. I remember that they concluded that it was to rich jetted but I cant remember how much they leaned it out to get out estimated power (120hk)...
Thanksful for answers.
Main jets on my viper are 156,3 (stock) Driving condition from sea level up to 600ft in tempratures aprox 5 to 32 deg.

I tried it once, with 155's for about 3 minutes and the sled missed and sputtered. Checked the plugs and they were white hot! I took them out and never tried it again. I use TPI valves now so I can adjust the air jetting in increments. They seem to work ok.

i ran 155 mains most of one winter with no problems, pistons looked good, also had dropped the needles one spacer. i was also running one head gasket and super.
also run your idle as low as you can, this will help on the idle down problem when coming to a hot stop.
as with any jetting, try it and check it before the long haul, your sled and someone elses cold be different.
