Who has after market or take-out suspensions in thier Vipers? I am going to take on a little project this summer and put a different suspension in my wife's viper. She only weighs about 100 lbs and there is no way she can compress a pro-action even with the shock up-dates.

Anyone done a RX-1 mono-shock? I was thinking with the easy adjust it may work OK for her. The other I was thinking was a SC-III ski-doo skid. I know they are pretty soft.

Please let me know what you have, how it works, what it cost and how easy/hard the installation was. Thanks for the help in advance.

putting a proactive out of a vector in my viper this summer, i'll let ya know how it turns out

I wonder with the proactive and mono's, if the bolts would go in the stock suspension bolt holes.

Check into a ploaris edge skid, cheap and pretty easy to install (i haven't done one but it looks cake 4 bolt vs 6)

n2roic or something like that posted measurements on them from his prox polaris right next to a yamaha. I was all set to do it but the PP revalve is enough to satisfy me.

thats me! i think johnnysrx, yamaholic22 and i might be doing one over the summer and could post pics and do a write up. it really is pretty easy to do and rides better than any proaction!

I bought a 2004 Zr 900 skid , installing it into my sx 700 in the summer. Snoxr has a cat skid in his viper, and lots of rx1 guys use them also.

Thanks for the tip. Those do ride soft. I will see if I can locate anything.

You boys are in Milwaukee right? I am in Appleton and if you do get going on that project I would love to come down get some digitals and measurements and take a look or maybe even bring a wrench and a case of beer. Let me know.

On another note, I did see a brand new SCIII on snowest for $400. I wonder if a Edge skid would come cheaper? $400 seems reasonable for a new skid.

$400 seems pretty good. an edge is around the same price though. yep we are around milwaukee. if someone around here had a big enough garage we could get a skid swapping party going! it could be like a production line! lol!

I will have a mint 2000ZR suspension available soon, with factory rail braces and 4th rear wheel kit, no rust. PM me if interested and I can send pics.
325 US + shipping.

I may be willing to make the drive from Michigan once I decide on which skid to swap. :p
