Bad way to end the year, but my 01 srx ate a lot of parts after the front shock broke. It is time to decide to fix what is left or update the whole skid. I am not sold on the aftermarket long travel skids, but maybe a viper suspension or longer shocks. Any suggestions or parts for sale. I am in central Ontario.

I would but a polaris edge, ski doo,or a cat skid.I hate to admit it but yamaha has alot of w arm problem's if you ride hard.Yopu can find those skid's usually 300-400.00

ill second this. plus no matter how much money you stick into a pro action it still wont ride as good as an edge or sc10III.pro116 said:I would but a polaris edge, ski doo,or a cat skid.I hate to admit it but yamaha has alot of w arm problem's if you ride hard.Yopu can find those skid's usually 300-400.00

I third this because i want to fit in with the other two. lol Yea if you are thinking about jumping your proaction anything higher than 4 inches and want the suspension to hold together, think again. If you really like to fly, a different suspension is probably in order, with the likes of what those guys said, or an expert. Make sure to get a coupled suspension (not an older cat or do) or it will ride like trash.

I have found a complete stock suspension locally, but it is out of a 99. Not sure if it is the same dimensions or not. If I remember the control rods are shorter on the 99's than the 01's. Anyone know if it will work for me, because I really don't mind the stock skid for handling in groomed trails and top end speed and the picture on the avatar is about the highest I have ever jumped this sled, mainly do groomed trail and lake running.

shure it will work and fit! drill out the rear holes and install shorter transfer rods off your old skid.

yup you have that backwards, your '01 skid has shorter rods. But you can just install your shorter rods into the 99 for better transfer.
