1987 Exciter 570?

I'm looking at an 87 Exciter 570. Is this a decent sled? Reliable? It's apparently bored .030 and has performance exhaust...just needs a clutch.

I had a 87 exciter that was nothing but headaches. If you have the chance pass it up. If its too late, I am sure we can keep it running but it will be a pain in the ass.

love my exciter, sure they are work, but very fast and light when done....

Richie, yours is a Exciter II tho....much more improved....the best was the Exciter II sx

actually my sled is an 87 ive put alot of work into this sled from the bottom up

camoplast track w/96 woodys
custom front cooler
fox shocks
sx hood
usi skis
bored 60 over w/ balanced wisecos
ported w/sport port templates
dg nickel plated pipe
comet 108 exp
secondary spacers for wide belt
custom paint job and graphics
red skid plate
working on electric start
newer style snow flap
yamaha saddle bags and handle bar bag
the sled really gets the looks when im out
people stare... not just for a second either
and is very fast close to 100 last year on the lake
but im still in need of some tuning
i need dial a jets
and some more clutch tuning
the low end on this sled is incredible
skis right up no problem
great in the trails

Thats right...yours is Modded 87 with the ExII hood....sorry
