Timing a '82 TT250

I am trying to time my 1982 TT250. I need free info. It is an overhead cam.

I had an XT 500 and it seems to me it could be done with a timing light and a 12 volt battery. It seems like there where timing marks on the flywheel and the timing light did the trick.
